 타고르의 시들 중에 유독 이 작품을 오래 기억하고 있다. 예전에는 민음사 버전을 읽었었는데, 새로 산 열린책들 버전의 번역은 영 느낌이 살지 않는다. 여튼 멋진시다. 'On the seashore at the end of the world'로 시작했으면 더 좋았을 거라고 생각한다.

 강릉에 와서 아직 바다엘 못 갔다. 크리스마스 전에 한 번 다녀와야겠다. 어느 바다에 가야 saeshore of endless worlds의 느낌이 날까나.....
